Audrey Serene Alonso was born and raised in Fresno, California and now works throughout the state of California and remotely in her role as Environmental Justice & Communications Manager at Our Climate. Her education and lived experience anchors her approach in robust communication strategies, intentional community engagement and media. As a former Rising Leaders Fellow with Justice Outside and Carbon Removal Justice Fellow with American University, Audrey has furthered her commitment to equity in the climate space by utilizing her passion and talents in storytelling, community engagement and research to empower communities and drive impactful campaigns for key stakeholders. 

In her role, she has lead and managed the carbon dioxide removal program, having hosted community-centered workshops and panels in Berkeley, CA, Atlanta, GA, and Brooklyn, NY. Working across sectors with partner organizations, project developers, engineers, government officials, land owners and local communities. Audrey has built and grown strong relationships with those in the carbon dioxide removal sector with a particular interest in land based solutions.
